This is NOT four stories, as advertised. This is one chapter, "to be continued." I suppose it could be passed off as ONE, very short, story. Notice that this "book" is 32 pages. Of that, 22 pages are actual story, and two more pages are a sidebar of background information written by another character; the rest is comic-book style filler: alternate cover art, advertising other books in the series, a one-page completely unrelated "why is this even here?" comic. I agree with the other reviewers that the description is misleading. This is a comic "book," in the tradition of monthly magazine comics. This book is not the "mini-series," it is the first chapter of the mini-series.
Much as I love Ben Aaronovitch and the Rivers of London series, I won't be buying any more of these mini-comic-books because there isn't enough story for the money.

I love the main character, and I go looking for every one of these Aaronovitch writes.
Another great read. If you are unsure of the plot of the story then read the novels. So much missing context without!
But satisfying in a bite sized way. Would like to buy this in a single collected edition but simple minded, so confused by the proliferation of choices.
I am hooked on this series, books and comics.
The only thing that galls me is having to wait till July!

Disappointed by the misleading description. This is only one case, not the four promised. It's also a comic book, which shlould have been clearly stated.
I was eagerly awaiting the release of this instalment. 1st promised release on 7 June, then delayed till 14 June then delayed till 21 June. Then while I was still awaiting the release of Detective Stories 1, I received an email advertising future release of Detective Stories 2. Which was advertised for release 12 July and then delayed to 19 July. Very disappointed. The actual story's ok-ish though it's hard to tell when it's eked out over instalments like this.
